ESFRI will be organising a Validation Workshop dedicated to “Monitoring of Research Infrastructures- Methodology and Key Performance Indicators“ in the context of the work of the ad hoc Working Group on Monitoring of Research Infrastructures Performance. The workshop will be held in Brussels, on 3 July 2019, 10h00-17h00.The mandate of the ESFRI WG on Monitoring is to consolidate the existing knowledge on monitoring of RI performance, propose a common approach at European level and explore options to support this through the use of a core set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 
 
Following the ESFRI Workshop on Monitoring of RIs, Periodic Update of Landmarks, and the Use of KPIs, which took place in Milan on 19-20 November 2018, this workshop will now focus on the validation of preliminary findings and recommendations of the Monitoring WG.
 
The Workshop is expected to explore a common methodological approach, a set of core KPIs, a framework for adapting KPIs to specific RIs, and some recommendations on their inclusion in the governance of RIs.
 
The workshop will be hosted in the European Commission in Brussels (premises to be decided), supported by the StR-ESFRI2 Project (Support to Reinforce ESFRI). 
 
Participation is by invitation only. Registration is mandatory. A detailed agenda will be published later this month. Due to limited capacity, one person per project will be inivited. For any further communication on this issue, please contact the StR-ESFRI2 team at info@str-esfri.eu.
