Have Your Say: Help Shape the Future European Innovation Act
Public consultation open until 3 October 2025
The European Commission has launched a call for evidence and public consultation on the upcoming European Innovation Act, a flagship initiative under the EU Startup and Scaleup Strategy. This legislative effort aims to remove barriers to innovation, improve the commercialisation of research, and enhance access to finance, talent, and infrastructure across Europe.
The Act will seek to establish a more innovation-friendly regulatory, policy and investment environment, helping startups and scaleups develop their products, grow in the Single Market, and compete globally.
Stakeholders from industry, academia, startups, investors, policymakers, and civil society are encouraged to contribute their views via the European Commission’s ‘Have Your Say’ portal.
Deadline for contributions: 3 October 2025
As part of this effort, the Commission has also launched a consultation on a proposed “28th Regime”, aiming to simplify the legal framework for companies operating across the EU by providing a harmonised set of rules that bypass the current 27 distinct national systems.
