Lithuania Publishes New Research Infrastructures Roadmap 2024

The Research Council of Lithuania has officially published the Lithuanian Research Infrastructures Roadmap 2024, marking a significant step forward in shaping the country’s long-term vision for scientific excellence, innovation, and international collaboration.   

Now in its fourth edition, the Roadmap presents a comprehensive overview of Lithuania’s national research infrastructure (RI) ecosystem, highlighting strategic priorities, current capabilities, gaps, and future directions. Aligned with the principles of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI), the document reflects Lithuania’s ambition to strengthen its position in the European and global research landscape.

The Roadmap also features expert-selected national RIs to be prioritised for public investment and participation in international RI consortia. It represents a collaborative effort involving national authorities, scientific institutions, international experts, and social partners.
