PANERIS Policy Brief highlights the human layer behind Research Infrastructure synergies
A new policy brief developed within the PANERIS project explores how stronger synergies across European Research Infrastructures can be unlocked through matchmaking, micro-mobility and human networks.
The document highlights the strategic role of the “human layer”, research support staff, facility experts and R&I professionals in connecting researchers, infrastructures and services across Europe. It also underlines the importance of upstream collaboration mechanisms, user-centric access models and targeted mobility schemes in strengthening interoperability, access and sustainability within the RI ecosystem.
Drawing on insights from the PANERIS neuroscience pilot, the policy brief presents actionable recommendations for European and national stakeholders, contributing to ongoing discussions on the future of Research Infrastructures, EOSC and the European Research Area.
