Research and Technology Infrastructures supporting Ukraine’s recovery - Online event at UN STI Forum 2026
The European Commission and the Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations in New York are organising an online side event titled “Research and Technology Infrastructures as enablers of Ukraine’s modern and sustainable recovery”, taking place on 7 May 2026 (14:00-15:15 CEST) in the framework of the UN STI Forum 2026.
The event will explore the critical role of Research and Technology Infrastructures (RTIs) in supporting Ukraine’s recovery following the severe impact of the ongoing war. The discussions will focus on rebuilding and modernising scientific capacities in alignment with SDG 9, promoting resilient infrastructure, sustainable industrialisation and innovation.
The event will bring together policymakers, international organisations, academia and industry to highlight initiatives such as RIFF, UNESRALE, and the International Coalition for Science, Research and Innovation in Ukraine, aiming to translate knowledge into actionable strategies for a sustainable and resilient recovery.
